About BEAMING, Inc
BEAMING means “Building Equine Assisted Mobility Into New Growth.” As a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) member, BEAMING provides therapeutic riding for individuals with physical, emotional, and behavioral disabilities. For individuals with disabilities, equine-assisted activities have been shown to improve muscle tone, balance, posture, coordination, motor development as well as emotional well-being. And it's fun!
BEAMING, Inc was founded in 2004 and began servicing individuals with disabilities in the spring of 2005. We are a 501 (c) 3, nonprofit organization. All donations and gifts are tax deductible. We operate with a small staff and over 170 trained volunteers.
To learn more about therapeutic riding and it’s benefits, please visit NARHA’s website at www.narha.org.
"It is our vision to be on the cutting edge of discovery and education in therapeutic riding—to facilitate life changing experiences for all involved, with the aid of our equine companions."
We plan to maintain our primary location in the heart of the Fox Valley. We would eventually like to buy or build our own state of the art facility to accommodate the growth we are already seeing.
We have a waiting list and would like to serve everyone that applies. But without our own facility we are limited in our abilities to meet the growing demand. We plan to eventually add hippotherapy, a resource library, satellite locations in outlying communities, and offer additional support to individuals and families living with disabilities.
