About Us
BEAMING, Inc. (Building Equine Assisted Activities Into New Growth ), a center member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH), is a not-for-profit, 501c3 charitable organization founded in 2004 and incorporated within the State of Wisconsin. BEAMING is located in Neenah, Wisconsin.
Our program enhances the quality of life for people with special needs by developing connecting relationships between people and horses, with measurable results. Among many proven benefits, riders unwittingly train their muscles and improve their neurological function and balance through riding. Horses also provide riders with the sensation of walking, since the movement of the horse closely resembles that of a human. Riders learn balance, coordination and self-assurance while receiving therapeutic muscle stimulation. Imagine being in a wheelchair after a traumatic injury and not being able to walk. The horse gives the person the sense of movement, as if they are walking again.
